No. Wando Studio is not an AI image generator. Wando Studio lets you generate Images using third-party API providers. Instead of Wando selling image credits directly, you use your own API key from a provider such as Kie, OpenAI, Google Vertex AI/AI Studio, Reve, Recraft, Bria, RunComfy, or other compatible services.

An API key is a private access code that lets Wando Studio connects with your AI image provider account. Think of it like a secure password that allows your local copy of Wando Studio to send image generation or editing requests to the provider you choose.
To get an API key, you would set up an account with one of Wando’s supported providers: Kie.ai, RunComfy, Bria, Google AI Studio, Google Vertex, Reve, Recraft and OpenAI You can see a list of the Wando Studio’s current supported API providers in Wando by going to the settings > preferences > API Keys
You should keep your API key private and never post it publicly.

An API key is usually free to create, but you may need to buy credits or pay for usage through your chosen AI provider. The cost of image generation, editing, upscaling, and other AI features depends on the provider’s pricing.
For example, some providers may offer low minimum credit top-ups or non-expiring credits, while others may have different refill amounts, usage rates, or expiration policies.

Future major versions may be sold separately, depending on the version and update policy.

AI image credit expiration depends on your API provider’s policy. Some providers may offer credits or tokens that do not expire, while others may have expiration dates, monthly billing, or usage limits. Wando Studio does not control provider credit expiration, refill minimums, billing rules, or account policies.
